Happy Birthday Tony!

On this day, February 9, Antonio Angelo (Tony) Soma was born in 1890. An 8th grade drop out, Tony came to America and became the Speakeasy King.

In the late Twenties and early Thirties, he was known as “Broadway Tony”.

His speakeasy was a favorite watering place for members of literary and theater circles.

The Beginning. Short but sweet.

I just started building my platform with this website, for my book project, THE SPEAKEASY KING. I am currently seeking literary representation.

This book was to be written by my grandfather, Tony, my grandmother, Dorothy, my Aunt Ricki, and my father, Fraser. Through twists of fate it has come down to me. It is because of them, I am able to write it today.
